Welcome
Welcome to St. Mary's Bluecoat Church of England Primary School
I am in the privileged position to be Head of School at St. Mary’s Bluecoat Church of England Primary School. Our school is rich in history, fully committed to ensuring all children receive the very best education and that they leave our school with excellent foundations on which to build as they progress in life. We are proud of our children’s academic achievements, and we place great value on children achieving their potential, but our children are so much more than just their academic results.
We invest in the well-being of our children and provide as many opportunities for curriculum enrichment as we can. Through a rich, varied and vibrant curriculum, children are able to flourish in areas that they already enjoy as well as encountering new experiences to spark their inquisitive minds. We ensure that every day is a learning adventure for children to explore both within the school curriculum and through a variety of extra-curricular clubs. We support all children to reach their potential and we believe that this is achieved through them being nurtured and developed as independent lifelong learners who have fun whilst learning.
Through our website, I hope that you will understand why we believe that our school is such a special place for our children to learn and grow. The school enjoys close links with the local community and church. St. Mary’s Bluecoat Primary School is stronger because we belong to The Trinity Federation. Our horizons are wider, our aims are higher and our potential greater.
Our core Christian values of compassion, perseverance and respect create an unbreakable thread that weaves through the school community. The care and respect that our children show for themselves, and others, is of prime importance.
Whilst our website may give you some insight into what happens at St Mary's Bluecoat, you only get a true sense of our community by seeing it first-hand. We are immensely proud of St. Mary’s Bluecoat and the trusting relationships between our children, teachers, and families. We would welcome the opportunity to show you around our school.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Compson-Lea, Head of School
