St. Mary's Bluecoat CE Primary School

"Working together for success"

Governors

The schools formerly in The Trinity Federation joined Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust on February 1st 2025. As a result, our governance structure has changed. This page will be updated shortly.

St. Mary’s Bluecoat CE Primary School and Worfield Endowed CE Primary School have worked in a federation since September 2014. Beckbury CE Primary School joined the federation in September 2015. Our federation is one where all of the schools share a single governing body.

Each school retains its own identity and character but shares a governing body and an Executive Headteacher, a Director of Teaching and Learning, and a Director of Inclusion and SEND. Each school retains its own delegated budget.

Effective Governance

The Governing Body of The Trinity Federation is responsible for:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  • Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff; and
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

Governor Clerking Service (Service Level Agreement)

Since 2019, The Trinity Federation has provided a comprehensive clerking service to a significant number of schools.
